Stories are the threads that connect us. They reveal who we are, what we value, and how we lead. My work has always been about finding and shaping those stories so they move people to think, feel, and take meaningful action.
I began my career as a journalist in South Africa in the early 2000s, where I learned the art of guiding meaningful conversations and uncovering the truth beneath the headline. Working across the African continent taught me to appreciate nuance, courage, and the power of perspective. As Executive Producer of Special Projects at CNBC Africa, I had the privilege of sharing financial and business news stories from across the globe, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Annual Meeting of Champions in China, and COP17 in South Africa.
After moving to the Netherlands in 2015, I joined The Speech Republic, where I worked with CEOs, corporate leaders, changemakers, researchers, and social activists. My work centering on helping leaders speak with authenticity rather than performance, bringing clarity and humanity to the moments that matter most. I fundamentally believe that great communication is not about being perfect but about being real.
Today, through The Story Curator, I bring together everything I have learned from journalism, facilitation, and storytelling to design and host conversations that matter. I work as a moderator, host, and editorial curator, crafting live experiences, dialogues, and narratives that connect people and ideas across industries and cultures.
My approach is intuitive, optimistic, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I draw on a journalist's instinct for clarity, a facilitator's empathy, and a storyteller's ear for rhythm and emotion. Whether I am hosting a public dialogue, curating an event line-up for an organisation, or helping a leader find their voice, my goal is always the same: to create honest, thoughtful spaces where people and ideas truly meet.
